I may be in San Fran for work soon. I've never been, what should I see, where should I eat, what breweries do I go to? (There are like 30 breweries listed). And any cool car stuff?
If it matters, I'll be working from 630 am to 5ish pm.

Five minutes into my first visit to the city, a faded red 356B crossed in front of me while I was stopped at a light. It looked like it had been well maintained and daily driven every day since it was new.
Every other car was a Prius.
I am not from there, but remember these from when I visited:
I'm also not from there, but you should try to stay at the Fairmont - especially if they offer a corporate rate for your business travel.
They have awesome museums and site seeing tours. The hop-on/hop-off buses were great for buzzing around town and seeing stuff. Great for any free days you might have.
Ride the cable car (just to say you've done it), Ghirardelli square (street performers and close to fisherman's wharf). Golden Gate Park used to be nice, especially the Chinese gardens. been a long time since I been there. And what has been mentioned.
Most importantly, where are you staying in the city?
Here are the places I went that have not been mentioned yet:
http://thirstybear.com/ The beer was good, especially the Scotch Ale
Cable Car Museum Free, and pretty neat.

http://www.scomas.com/ If you like fish and seafood, get the cioppino
Are you in SF proper?
Why would you avoid oakland? The east bay is nice and more interesting than the west bay. Don't believe all the hype folks, there are really nice parts of oakland. To avoid snobs and hipsters the east bay is better, I just feel cramped in the City. The city is better for Escape from the Mission, (a man has to ride a motorcycle through the mission as fast as possible while avoiding cars, double parkers, cops, bicycles, jaywalkers, skaters, etc. not for the novice rider) I personally would spend some time in Berkeley if you can. Go to telegraph ave, shattuck ave, tilden park, then eat some indian food.
If you make it over to the San Mateo side let me know. For breweries it depends where you are in the Bay. I personally think that Jupiter in Berzerkely and Drakes in San Leandro are the best brews in the Bay and I've been to about them all. For me the grand daddy is Lagunitas though, them and bear republic. On the Peninsula there is stealhead in Burlingame. I ain't really a big fan of SF the smell of urine, feces, and hipsters really ruined it for me.
Jacks cannery bar has 85 taps and ain't so touristy.
Forbes island is a weird touristy place to eat, but you must do it. The story of a personal man made island is crazy and the food is good, pricey though

Lol. That one got me. I really should have phrased it better.
As far as some of the questions, yes I'll have a car (large SUV or minivan for work) and I will be working downtown SanFran off Larkin. But I think the plan is to stay off Broadway in Oakland.
No free time except for after work. So probably not any long drives.
You'll need to log in to post.
