Meet C.C., the culmination of a long decision process. My wife and I have been talking about a dog since we got married last summer. Now we have a puppy. Her name is Clementine Churchill because my wife is a history nerd. The dog is cute and has a great personality which makes up for the fact that she's two months old and hasn't learned to go potty outside yet. House training is fun...
Cute pup! I highly recommend set feeding times as it can make poops more predictable as well.

Awe, puppy. My wife and I want one once we live somewhere dog friendly. It was hard enough finding a rental allowing 3 cats.
She needs love. She is scared.
She'll get lots of love. We waited until now to bring a pet into the home because at this point our schedules will let us have lots of time to spend with her over the next few months.
We've spent the whole day playing with her, snuggling, and going outside and back in and back out trying, (sometimes successfully) to get her to potty outside.
Poops are still unpredictable, she hasn't wanted to eat much at food times yet. I think she's still a bit stressed.
Right now she's sleepy.
My wife finally talked me into a puppy, ours just turned 9 weeks old. Shes learned too poop outside but getting her to pee has been alot more difficult! So good luck.
Mine's 2 now and he still really hasn't 'grown up', he just got bigger
Keeping a set schedule, as others have said, helps a lot with potty training and just makes life easier in general. Tonight is probably going to be a lot of fun if you're planning on crating. If you have an open, wire framed crate, try draping a blanket over it to make it feel darker and more den-like, seemed to help me.
Good luck and have fun, it goes a lot faster than you expect!

^^ good advice, the blanket trick quieted ours down right away on the first night. my wifes smarter then me lol
Give her frozen baby carrots to help with teething.
Thanks everyone, for all the advice! She's been pretty good about sleeping through the night in her make-shift bed. She'll have a crate by Tuesday so we'll see how that goes. She seems smart and it looks like she's picking things up pretty fast so hopefully that won't be too much of a struggle.
So much cuteness in one place

Very, very cute. Lucky you!
She may be Clementine Churchill now, but I bet it won't be long before she is Baroness Spencer-Churchill, and bossing both of you around.
Super cute! Is she a particular breed?
we hung sliegh bells by the back door, everytime we took her out to "do her business" we rang the bells, everytime,
Now when she needs to "go do her business" she rings the bells,
patience, lots of lovin
She's a golden/poodle mix, part toy poodle so we have no idea how big she'll get.

How long did it take her to learn to ring the bells on her own?
not very long, a week and a half, 2 weeks?
I did the bells too. Worked great until he learned that they were a free ticket to go check out the smells in the yard anytime he got bored.

Hey, I have one of those! Her father was a Standard Poodle though, so she's fairly large. She's 17 months old now and weighs in at 60 pounds. She got a little bigger than we had expected.
This is from about a year ago

And here she is now

FYI, you can forget about car projects for a while, you're gonna have a busy year!
