Post up in the moderator assistance thread. They will close it or delete it for you.
[edit] In the second video, the Monte did the right thing by turning left into the near lane. That's what you're supposed to do in that case, NOT turn left directly into the far lanes.
With that being said, they DID fail to accelerate enough to accommodate your speed.
The fact that you're driving a minivan explains a lot of it. Since I bought my first minivan in 1992, I have absolutely noticed that people either don't see it at all, or simply assume that a minivan driver can't possibly be going more than 37 mph at any given time.
My 2012 T&C is not a small vehicle and I drive at normal speeds. People pull out point blank in front of me all the time when I'm driving it.

He was turning left, which absolutely is gonna cross my path. Second video, I expected him to get in the right lane out of my path, but that didn't happen. Speed limit is 45mph, I was going 50.
the pile on critiques actually do get old. There's a lot of conclusions being made from a 15 second clip that is clearly not my fault.
I'm sorry you found my post so offensive. I assumed he was turning right, but it was not obvious to me which way he was turning.
Your speed looked high to me in the second video, given the curve and the intersection.
I've deleted my post, but you have immortalized it by quoting it.
Edit: Okay, I tried to delete my first post. Got the "Go back down the road you came" from message. I know I used to be able to delete posts. Dunno. Sorry.

Sorry, I should have said my thread. I have nothing against your post, and did not mean it that way.
If you have not hit anyone and no one has hit you, you are doing it correctly.
Drive defensively as if that jerk is going to cut you off.

Ah, thank you. It is so easy to misunderstand stuff on the internet.
I am sure if you ask a mod to delete the entire thread, they can make it go poof! But if you ask this bunch "Am I doing it wrong?" expect that at least some of them will answer with "Heck, yeah, you're doing it wrong!" Human nature and all that.
That said, I feel that your driving was fine and any criticisms that I myself offered were mere quibbles.
I used to curse at the state of drivers but it's so pointless. If I gave driver tests for the state, 80% of them would fail even after driving for 20 years.
For some reason I'm a nerd about that stuff, like remembering that you need to signal 300' before a turn if you're above 35mph and 100' if you're below 35mph, and there is a caveat for if there is another intersection between you and the turn you're making. Don't park within 20' of a fire hydrant. Don't drive in the dang left lane if you're on a divided highway. Use entry ramps to match speed instead of stopping at the merge area. Turn off your high beams within 300 yards of oncoming traffic and traffic in front of you. Why do I remember these tidbits from a class I took in 1989? No idea. It's a curse, because I see everyone else ignoring them.

What about using your horn when a light turns green? I am asking for a friend.
I tell my kids to assume that every other person on the road is a complete and utter moron. Ask yourself "What's the dumbest thing that driver can do?" Then try to be prepared for it. The sad part is that even when I've tried to be prepared you can still get hit. For me it's averaged out to an accident every 7 years. I've been rear ended in stop and go traffic twice. I also had a guy in a 10 wheel Peterbuilt flatbed miss a driveway, stop in the middle of a two lane road and then back into my 3 week old replacement for the first truck that got totaled.

Only if it's loud enough to make the inattentive person drop the phone they're gawking at while missing the light.

I teach drivers "pressure points." Like if you're in the right lane and the left lane slows down, the pressure point is the potential for someone darting in front of you to get around.
In Inlogage's first video, the pressure point is that red truck flying up to the stop sign. I think he handled it well. He avoided an impact, no one died.
In the first video, I'll agree with everyone else, you may have cut the turn a bit, but the truck was 100% at fault.
In the second, having been through a crash caused by similar circumstances...the Monte needed to wait to turn, find the throttle, or get over and out of the way. That said, you were coming from behind with plenty of time to make adjustments and avoid the crash. In my case, the driver in your position was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, which I feel is valid.
I sometimes drive a lot like Inlogauge the second video. Instead of being 100% defensive, I sometimes make sure the other driver is aware of their mistake, if that makes sense. I have this deluded notion that if I show them their idiocy, they'll learn from it and not do it again.
On the flipside, if I were driving that Monte and realized my mistake, I would have totally done the "I'm sorry I'm an idiot" wave out the window. I can admit when I'm a road douche.
I have noticed a couple of phenomena that irk me badly. One, drivers, by and large now stop with their rear bumper past the white line at intersections, rather than with their front bumper behind it. Two, turning is hard. Lots of drivers round every inch off every turn. I have cut it very close coming up to my white line on red in the turning lane because a line of cars finds it so difficult to stay in their lane. Don't get me started on how awful folks are in parking lots for the same reason-turning is hard. Third and final gripe, for now, Man, people roll up to a stop like they are not gonna. Better brakes, tires, ABS, etc have all contributed to this, but durn, they scare me. Threshold braking is not for the street.
I have all but given up motorcycle riding for all these reasons. People are definitely becoming worse drivers.

Incident 1. I don't think you turned "early". I have notice this trend with pickup truck drivers in my area. They even stab the gas and stop again after their initial stop to attempt to intimidate me into letting them complete their left turn onto the road I am on before I complete my left turn. So you are definitely not alone with video 1.
I think it is interesting as I see video 2 as the other thing I see more often. The car pulls out fully knowing that they will force you to slow down and consider it proper etiquette to due so. Based on comments from my adult kid's friends they figure you would be at fault for hitting their rear end and you would be "mean" for not just letting them do it. That said, I figure over 50 percent of the time people are not like us car guys and just misjudged the gap they are entering when they pull out and accelerate.

Same, on both accounts.
I know it's childish and the other driver never, ever understands the point but I still do it.
