Not only does it use the accelerometers and the GPS but it also will soon interface with a wireless OBD2 dongle that will allow for sensor datalogging also. Not that I have anything OBD2 but man this is the coolest thing ever. Also works with the ipod touch, though it doesn't have the GPS so it is a bit limited in use. I am sold on an Iphone, I am not eligible for the discounted phone upgrade for 12 more months though :)

Not really a canoe because SupraWes has 1000 posts.
I think he is more or less letting the public know about this technological advancement.

I think it's pretty neat. I didn't read the whole thing... hopefully you don't need ODB2 for it to do anything though
Wes, you did sound like a canoe there LOL.
Cool gadget though. One of these days I may have to break down and get one of these iPhone things
I'm typing this post on mine right now! I wish my Miata were OBD II.
Hmm this is the first compelling reason I've seen to get an iPhone...
I am not a Canoe!
Sorry if it sounded like an ad, I was playing with an Ipod touch checking out some different apps and was on a technological high better than any of the Gainesville green I ever had.
