Ok so my bathroom remodel is almost finished, and I'm working with my tile on the final details.
He's being patient with me, but wants me to figure out what I want before he starts putting up the Schluter system stuff.
One area of concern is the curb placement and width. It impacts where the drain center will be. Which impacts where I want the diverter and outlet elbow.
Disclaimer - the area in question is on the outside of the shower, where I've got a set of built in shelves that are drywalled. I don't want to tile the shelves or the drywall here.
Option A) 4" wide Curb is on backside of bullnose drywall corner. I'll need to cut a little piece of baseboard to fit around the corner. Glass will sit centered on curb.
Option B) 5" wide curb sits proud of the drywall, creating a butt joint for the baseboard to fit up against. Glass will sit offset a little bit on the curb (3" on outside, 2" on inside)
Option A:

Option B:

Option B is cleaner as presented.
But you are not representing Option A well. Your house is full of bullnose outside corners with baseboard that wraps around it. You could copy whatever detail is common to your house, and return the baseboard to the curb.
Often, wrapping those bullnose corners with baseboard is simply a 45* mitered return with caulk filling the mouse hole at the top of the baseboard. But sometimes, it is 2 separate 22.5* miters that close the gap.
Option C would be a tile baseboard (which would be my choice- I don't like wood base in wet areas)
But Option B is fine if you want wood.

Thanks for the input. I'm glad I'm not completely off track.
I would use option B for same reasons stated. And I'd shove the glass out to the edge of the tile to maximize elbow room. Don't forget to tilt the top of the threshold so it drains back into the shower.
Are you using Schluter's Kerdi curb? I strongly recommend that (or something impervious to moisture) rather than any kind of wood curb.

Yep, their curb. Well, same material (their rigid foam), covered with membrane.
Glass is going to be as far out as I can get it. Might need to use some sort of angle bracket or track style of mounting.

All sounds good. I've done three showers with that system and they've held up great.
Post some photos of the finished project!
