That's a bummer. I've had to put down 3 family dogs over my lifetime and it doesn't get easier. Just did the last one about 6 months ago.

she stopped eating anything, including her treats, 2 days ago … it's a recurrence of the pancreatitis that she went through back in the spring …

vet says it's very painful, and since it keeps coming back … along with anxiety attacks that he opines were associated with it … and at 14 … it was time

Sounds like the right time to make the right decision. That doesn't make it feel any better. My sincere condolences - she looks like a buddy.

I'm so sorry, losing a furry family member is always hard. Try to keep the good times in mind and know she's not hurting anymore.

Sorry to hear about this. It's very difficult. Our vet kindly made a house call for our dog Roger a few years ago when the time came. We did it in a nice shady grassy area in our yard where he always dozed in the summer. The end wasn't any better for me but I think having it happen where it did, it was better for him.

So very sorry.
