A new species is always fun to her. Of course, now she's re-evaluating some of her old catches and wondering if some of her prior crappies were rock bass. She's only caught a few crappie so I could probably go back through pictures and figure it out.

Of course new species are fun! Unless they're invasive, anyway...

After she's confident with IDing rock bass, tell her about the Roanoke Bass to show how difficult it can be getting things exactly right.
