Tobyhanna PA

I am back in Tobyhanna for another month of "high speed" Army training and am looking for something to do on the weekends. I am going to make it up the the Glenn this trip but if anyone has something going on or wants some unskilled help with something let me know. I am leaving on Sept 2nd.

NASA is racing at Pocono on the 3/4th but I suppose if you are leaving on the 2nd... that is useless information.

Knoebel's Amusement Park! Great old-timey park. Free admission. Pay for rides a la carte. It's a bit west of Tobyhanna. We're heading there in a week with the kids. They love the place. http://www.knoebels.com/

I'm running with GVC BMWCCA at Watkins Glen August 24-25 (Wed/Thurs) and would gladly put you on the list as my guest, but being a novice I'll be pretty busy and wouldn't have much time to just hang around. That being said, you can rent a helmet and get a ride with an instructor or two during that event.

The Rolex series is running at the Glen with the NASCAR stars next weekend, 8/16 at 6:00 pm.

I'm racing at Pocono this coming weekend with the SCCA. It's a double National with practice/qualifying on Friday. Qualifying and races ano Saturday and Sunday.

I checked out Tobyhanna PA. That's one LARGE Army base! 5000 employees, and a few job openings.
