I just finished reading Midnight In Chernobyl and the things that went on were insane. As little as we regard health and safety in a lot of places, the Soviets took it to a completely different level.

Wtf? I can't imagine working in that area.
Unit 1 at Three Mile Island operated until September 2019, obviously less of the surrounding area was glowing though.
TIL Constellation/Microsoft are refurbishing Unit 1 to bring it back online to power their AI. It's crazy the resources being put into that right now.
