The Rhino grill bolts on all FSJs all the way to the last Grand Wagoneer built in 1992. It's a common swap.

I had to type out my entire username when I changed it, as the filter would not automatically correct it from the original quote.
TIL that I can wash and dry the key fob for my RAM truck and it'll still work. Although, as my Dad has said, "just because you've gotten away with something in the past that doesn't mean it's a good idea."
TIL a M12 coarse nut will thread right onto a 7/16UNC bolt. It won't torque up to 50ftlbs because it's a 12mm nut on an 11.1mm diameter fastener.
TIL a new statistics joke...
There's a range within which people can't tell that artificial butter isn't real...it's known as the margarine of error.
David Vizard has a YouTube channel. Its really good.
TIL that I've been pronouncing his name wrong. Long I, accent on first syllable.

So, it doesn't rhyme with Wizard? That is probably an error on his part.
First place I heard of him was in the Mini world, back in the 80's. He must be getting on in years by now.
In reply to Streetwiseguy :
Oh, he wrote the book on Ford "Pinto" 2l engines when those engines were still being installed in Capris. He starts some videos by pointing out that he is offering the benefit of nearly 60 years of race-winning engine building.
He's getting on but is still fairly active professionally, and has his own subforum on speed-talk last I heard.
For reference, I thought it had a short I and accent on the second syllable. I had heard that it didn't rhyme with wizard, so my brain went to Lewis Grizzard.

I've driven past the facilty they're building in Kentucky along I65 when traveling to and from bowling Green. It's absolutely humongous.

It's better yet if you watch it at 1.5x speed. His verbal delivery rate is pretty slow (partly due to brain surgery, IIRC) and he can take quite a while to make a point. Plus it shortens the protracted thunder-and-lightning intro, outro, etc bumps.
In reply to DarkMonohue :
Agreed. I remember him from my small block Chevy days. Always pronounced it like bizarre.
TIL: That the hot hamburg is a Canadian thing.

I'm somewhat used to the particularly English slow cantering way of getting a point across, but now that you mention it, I do recall something about his having a stroke or other brain trauma a few years ago.
I've had a number of eye surgeries in the last two years. I was speaking with my opthamologist yesterday and mentioned how sensitive my eye feels now. I was wondering if it was me being hyper vigilant about changes. He said perhaps, but also tp remember that the cornea has the most nerve endings of any part of the body, I had no idea . . .
My friend had so much stuff, he bought some land with a big metal barn on it, just outside of town. He kept a dozen or so motorcycles, a Bridgeport, some other equipment, and his 1968 Mustang fastback with a 428 & 4 speed. Car is Brittany Blue. I know he hasn't driven it in 18 years, possible more. See, he drinks a bit. Always surprised when boxes start showing up on the porch, even bought a motorcycle he has no recollection of. Anyway, TIL he sold the Mustang for $40,000. =~ (
Edit: He's still got the newish Roush Mustang and two square bodied Mustangs. God knows what else is in there.....
Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were on the Goldfinger James Bond movie theme song. I knew they did studio stuff but I didn't know that one.

Kurtwood Smith (That 70s Show) was in four different Star Trek series, playing different characters, too.

I find Memory Alpha to be hilarious in how single-mindedly focused it can be. When reading actor pages, they'll only highlight a film/TV show's other actors with a ST connection. ("This actor was Door Guy #2 in FamousBigBudgetMovie, alongside this other actor who played Shouting Man In Street" Then you find that Shouting Man in Street's actor had a bit part in a single episode of Enterprise or something)
TIL that Hooters is filing for bankruptcy. Not sure if this means they'll all close - based on how busy the one near me is, I kinda doubt it and expect that they will restructure, and honestly hope they do as they have my favorite wings within a 15 minute drive - we get carryout from them 3-4 times a year.
Anyway, it reminded me of this story. I've never really been a fan of "breastaurants". I find them tacky, but to each their own. In high school, we used to go there on occasion because hormones were a thing. There was a girl in our friend group that I had a crush on, but I could tell that for some reason I never had a chance with her. I hadn't thought about those Hooters trips or her in years, but just now I realized the reason that she was ok with going to Hooters wasn't because she was "cool with it". It was because she was batting for the other team. No wonder I never had a chance.
In reply to mtn :
I went to Hooters once. The chicken sandwich I got was mostly breading. There may have been a McNugget buried under an inch of breading.
The place was empty, too.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
Been to one once. The beer was cold, the women were definitely NOT the stereotypical Hooters girl, but honestly, the best buffalo shrimp I've ever had anywhere. Like I still think about that shrimp 13 years later.
"Carbon fiber / titanium reinforced breast shelves" is a phrase I came up with a number of years ago.
I presume the context is obvious.
TIL the woman that played Moneypenny in five Bond movies is named Samantha Bond. Ironic. Remember her later in Downton Abbey,
