His first album was released on this date 40 years ago.
Not the album version but still a classic.
Like it or not folks, this is what true genius looks like. I'm a longtime fan.
Off the top of my head, three of my favorites would be
Eat it!
Party in the CIA
and the undeniably epic The Saga Begins
Edit: Posting link to The Saga Begins video, because I had forgotten just how much fun this song is:

The long term contract I had to sign said I'll be making these movies 'til the end of time

Total genius. I just told my brother about the occasion.
His reply: today should be a holiday.
I remember our (older) neighbor excitedly telling us about something he heard on the radio: Crazy Steve or something like that. As soon as the album dropped, we got it.
While I celebrate the man’s entire catalog, I’m going to share just this one here because, yes, it’s genius:
From his Twitter feed:
SPOILER ALERT (but c’mon, you should’ve seen the movie by now!): This is the only prop that I got to keep from the shoot. I took it home from the set and planted it in my back yard, and my wife didn’t discover it until two weeks later.

But to me, the all-time Weird Al classic is "Amish Paradise"

Very vaguely! Very very vaguely. And watching that reminds me of Beavis's treatment of videos, in hindsight.
I do vivdly remember The Compleat Al. Still sing this to myself sometimes.

Now sung by transforming robots. (Wait till the end)
I've seen the Spree do this in concert twice. Always a good time.
I think my favorite of his is "All About the Pentiums". It's also kind of amusing to look at the "impossible" tech specs in the song as compare them to PCs of today :)

You just tore open a wormhole in my brain to my youth! Core memory unlocked. Al TV!!!!
I am old enough to remember when this video was in heavy rotation on MTV, and when this parody came out that absolutely eviscerated it. Amazing.
