Today. Ohio. Yuengling!

Yeah! And next weekend will be the first weekend I can buy and drink it at home....And I'll be in Pa. all weekend for a double header autocross...

In my Sunday paper here in Ohio the Kroger ad has the availability of Yuengling prominently displayed on the front page. They are calling this the most anticipated launch of a brand in the Ohio beer business.
I expect that it will all be very similar to the launch of Coors (ala Smokey and the Bandit.) Once truly available and no longer "forbidden" there will only be a brief surge of business. Of course, riding that surge wave can be a great ride for the company.
Last month I had some of their Black and Tan version. I liked it much better than the Lager.

Wifey is the beer drinker in this house. Yuengling is her fave.

I always liked their Porter.

Some of my friends think that this will be like the Coors deal, and it may well be, but in my case Yuengling has always been a favorite of mine, and every time I go to Pa I buy some. So I personally will be buying mass quantities of this brew, especially since my favorite drinking hole will also have it on draft and in bottles.
Woody - I've never had their porter. I'll have to try that.

In Ft.Lauderdale it is available just about everywhere. I usually get it at Winn Dixie at 9.99 per 12 pack.

Used to get it in FL. Finally became available in GA a couple years ago.

I musta been looking in the wrong places. We're in Rotunda West, but I think if they sell it one place in a certain state, they sell it all over the state, no?

Five bucks for a 12 pack? Seriously? I know state taxes play into the cost, but I can't buy a 12 of anything for that price. Your avatar is entertaining for a second or two, and then I start feeling a little naucious...

I'd gladly pay $10 for a 12 pack of really... anything. I pay more than that for Rolling Rock.

I just moved from GA where it was available. Now, OH has it. They must have known one of their best clients needed to maintain a supply!

Still can't get it in Illinois.

Only thing available here for less than 10.00 is crap. Old Milwaukee light, etc.

The Kroger ad that I mentioned earlier says $10.49 for 12pack and $18.49 for 24pack

One my friends brings the stuff back all the time.

I rate it a solid "Meh" on the scale from "Crap" to "Delirium Tremens" (which is, i declare, the best beer ever)

Actually, it's not. They have a brewery/bottling facility in FL (I did the tour of the original plant in PA a few years ago).

The Porter is one of my favorites. The Black and Tan makes for a good "light beer" for me.
