They called me into work early this morning. Another driver came down with Covid. Real challenge to run a completely different route and stay on time. One mistake can set you back a lot because 40 foot long school buses just don't make U turns.
We're running low of drivers. All the mechanics with licenses and office people were driving. Including the boss and his wife. We're lucky only some schools are going.
But It felt good to be still needed at age 72. Walking briskly to the bus feeling good. I see some people my age and younger watching TV from the recliner and bored to death.
