Wow... who really thinks this looks like a GT40?
Most people think this is a real GT40, most have never seen a real one. This cool car has the super car look, it was designed by the Kelmarrk company to look like a mid 70s Ferrari. It is built on a 1975 Volkswagon chassis “parts are available in most any parts store”.
Exterior: We love the look of the Ford GT40, so we painted the car like a GT40. The paint job is show quality, you will have no complaints about the paint job. Its painted with a PPG bas/clear coat for a brilliant shine. The wheels are Cragers and the tires new.
Mechanical: The car runs and drives like a VW, but has a race car steering feel. All wiring and lights are new. All brakes parts are new including lines and master cylinder, the front brakes are disc and the rear drum.
NOTE: This car is low, if your real tall you may have a problem.
This car is titled as a 1975 Kelmark and the model Ferrari. I have a clear title in hand.
I am asking $10,900 for the car and will take $7,999.
Car is located 1 mile off Interstate 75 in Athens, Tn 37303

So....he's asking $7,999 firm.
I know you'll take $7,999, but i'd like to give you $3000 more just because you asked nicely.
GT-40s are VW powered? Who knew?

I think he needs to stop smoking what he is dealing.
The text of that ad just makes me laugh.
Most people who, by definition, have never seen a GT40, think this looks just like one.
However, either all these people or the makers are wrong, because it's supposed to look like a Ferrari.
It drives exactly like an old bug except for the steering that makes it feel like a racecar.
Aparently VW had a slogan in '75 that advertised the availability of parts in stores...or something.
LOL,

This ad should have included an apology from whoever built this thing.
That would be a great platform for a Subaru WRX motor. It weighs nothing.
I would give him $900 for it and he could keep the VW engine.
That guy loses simply for his incorrect spelling of Volkswagen.
Dude wants $11,000 for his E36 328i - Crack is one hell of a drug!

I have a 1997 328i BMW 140,000 original Miles 135,000 where driven long distance business trip from an older non smoking gentlemen. I Spoke to the BMW mechanic where the BMW was serviced and he explained to me that since the vehicle was only used for long trips the wear on the car is 1/2 or less then w/e the actually mileage is.. The interior is Mint.. this within itself speaks of how well the car was kept. no stains no wear spots in the leather or carpets.. the car still smells like it came off the showroom floor.. The vehicle has 18" Drif Z rims Black w/ Chrome Lip. These rims truely make the car gorgeous. Vehicle is being sold because well.. I have too many toys and i need to concentrate on the ones that need attention.
Call or Txt to make appointment to see the car. It is currently in Blueridge, Ga so if you're in that area let me know and my g/f can show you the car.. anywhere near Norcross you'll need to set up a time on the weekends to see the car. My asking price is $11,000 it is Negotiable. If you can't get within a few 1,000 of this please dont waste your time and mine. Thanks for looking. 770-815-4935

Someone should make a VW-powered Bugatti Veyron. Oh wait, they already do...

I don't really see a problem with the kit car ad... it's not like he's trying to call it anything other than what it is... and even sort of shrugs off the comparison to a GT40 himself... and $10K doesn't sound like an unreasonable price, although I'd definitely want to see it in person and test drive it before handing over the cash.
The BMW guy... yeah... he needs to put away the crack pipe...

It's a replica of a Dino Ferrari, not a GT-40.

And as such, it would look better without the stripes.
As for the BMW? That's a pet peeve of mine: be consistent, say what you mean, and mean what you say. Don't assume that people will see "$10" in the headline and assume you mean "$10,000!"

Yea, I think thats part of what makes the add so hard to follow. He is basicly saying well i have this ugly ferarri replica on a vw pan, but i like ford gt40s better so i put gt40 stripes on it and no one knows the difference.
I actually don't mind it. I would NEVER pay that much for one, but one in good shape with a 901 transmission and a WRX engine would be absolutely awesome.
The Kelmark was actually a pretty cool kit car, as far as those things go.
