this seems like a good place to tell the story about the riced out Honda that got a ticket because i didn't race him.

short version: accidentally took my Nova to a well known cruising street in St Cloud, MN on a friday night. i was just going to Home Depot and totally forgot about the asshats that are out and about on friday night..

anyways, i pull up to a stop light and a riced out Honda Civic pulls up next to me.. he had it all- wheels sticking out and cambered, big wing, stupid body kit, fart can, lots of gauges- everything.. he revs a bit and throws me a dirty look.. i notice a cop parked in the parking lot a block up.. i rev it a little bit- like 2000 rpm or so, looking dead ahead the whole time.. he does his full "rev it to the moon and keep lurching forward like that guy in the Fast and Furious movies" routine.. light turns green, he dumps the clutch and takes off.. i pull away nicely.. the cop watched the whole thing, and had the lights flashing before Honda Boy made it thru the intersection.. i drove by, waved, laughed,. and made a few laps and laughed at him before deciding that was boring and going home..

I was crusing down 465 in my beat up ragged out looking v8 240sx some kid in a civic pulled up next me an reved it up so I dropped it into 4th letting out a loud chirp of rear tires he gave up instantally , no speeding required.

Ha! I did the same thing to a couple of kids in a Civic. One loud rev of the SRT10 Ram, and they shriveled up.

I bought a stock Supercoupe that the previous owner had painted 2-tone when the clearcoat flaked off the roof, hood, and trunk. Black on top, red on the sides. Every import owner in the world wanted to race me in that car--guess the paint made them assume I thought I was a badass. Some would have beaten me. Some wouldn't have. I didn't care enough to find out.

Today being the first day of the calgary stampede, the morons are out in full force. Purposely drove my gfs car instead of my wrx for that reason. Best story so far: see a car still sitting at the light after it turns green, as I get closer I see these two fine gentlemen are trying to put the moves on some girls on the sidewalk. Well I guess it wasn't working so they decide to shower how cool they are by redlining their z24 cavalier (calgary is a pretty wealthy city, you arent going to wow any girls in a cavalier) and dumping the clutch speeding off (as much as a cavalier can speed), but alas that wasn't the dumbest part. The next block up is a popular bar, and the left lane is blocked off for taxis (5 lane wide 1 way) being closing time the second right lane is also full of taxis and drunk people. So genius is speeding towards this, while a taxi in the middle lane decides it also wants to stop there boxing him it. So cavalier boy locks up his brakes, stopping about 2 feet from a crowd of people. He sure looked cool. Kind of wanted to stick around to see if they were gonna get beats up. The response from the crowd as I passed didn't sound to friendly.

It's Tourist season here at the Shore. I get these stories all the time. Kids in riced up and modded out cars always seem to have a thing for the lowered Ti.
