We used one of those to install vinyl t-strips into aluminum channel when making commercial awnings. I triggered it against the palm of my hand to see it work once someone told me what it was for. Dumb move, hurt like hell.

Heh- Sorry, but know that you're certainly NOT alone in that boat. Only thing I've actually picked up new is the exhaust hanger pliers- SWMBO's Mariner currently has no muffler (ironically it's actually no louder than when it had it thanks to the resonator...) because I need to replace the resonator section due to broken bolts, and it will make getting the hanger off MUCH easier.

While the exhaust hanger tool does make the job easier, a bit of spray lubricant of some type may still be necessary.

I'll be doing that too- I've just fought with exhaust hangers enough in the past to know how that tool will make it WAY easier to do than any way I've attempted it in the past...
How about these wrenches. Probable only good for wall art but neat none the less. I want a set to hang on the garage wall just to irritate SWMBO.

I had forgotten about them until today when I needed to measure sour cream. Great for measuring all kinds of sticky, messy, or liquid ingredients, even honey and molasses. Let's you get it all out of the cylinder and into the mixer, much easier than cups for some stuff.
I was googling 'learn me generators..' and came across a forum discussion at arstechnica and someone mentioned a combo generator/welder/air compressor from Miller. Wow. Sounds great. So off to Miller I go and find a blog post linking to this product below. It's not often I get sticker shock but. 
I'm pretty sure it's a big beastie too. I'll be sticking to deciding between a new Yamaha or Honda Invertor/Generator in the next year or so.

Nope... not svelte... But I'm pretty sure I've seen these on a number of utility bed trucks, usually mounted transversely behind the cab.
As far as the price, it's not that bad in the commercial construction world.
