So I would have bought the Yugo after Tanner changed it up. Pretty sure others on this site would have too.

and the Aztec went for like $4100, which is proof that the show is scripted..

I had a hard time believing you could find an Aztec for $1500. But yeah of coarse it is scripted.

The fact that you say that tells me you haven't watched in a while. You should...seriously. Its one of the best car shows...in the world.

Did you just quote Jeremy Clarkson to describe a show that rips the show off he helped make famous? (I know they are affiliated, but still).
And I accept your challenge, I'm going to download all of the episodes I haven't watched.

I would start mostly with this season... then move back...

I like the original better but the US one is enjoyable.
I'm glad somebody said it. I stumbled upon the show last night. I should've turned it off when the fat guy said some E36 M3 about the yugo being "the most dangerous car sold in the U.S."
TGUSA sucks ass.

it's the most EPIC show.. In The World..
actually, start with the Alaska show, then work out from there..

The Aztec was in WAY better condition then the other two cars. It looked new.
Scripted... of course it is, just like the UK show, which is clearly scripted also. The US show is just not quite as good at masking it.

I know this opinion will be unpopular, but I actually like it better than the British one right now. The British one used to be better, and the American one has not hit that level yet. The British one has leaned more towards them playing roles and being less about the cars. The American one feels more spontaneous, like Rut freaking out because he forgot he had a sheep in his van. I know most of it is still scripted, but there's more spontaneous stuff creeping in.
The recent bit on TGUK about how racing could be done for the same price as golf was really good though. It was really just three guys playing with cars and getting excited about the unexpected things happening.
TGUSA continues to disappoint. I'm not even talking about comparing it to the UK version. I've watched the last 2 episodes after a long hiatus and still feel like I've wasted an hour. American Pickers is a better car show.
Seriously, why does every thread on TGUSA have to go in this direction?
We get it. You don't like it. Don't forget to remind us the next time a thread comes up too.

+1000 The UK one is getting long in the tooth...I prefer the USA version, too.
I like TGUSA. Started out a little sketchy but I thinks it has improved greatly. Fun show for what it is.
