Wet day yesterday at the Indy car race. Even the pace car spun out.
Must have had Firestone tires.
Yesterday's race was rescheduled and shortened for this morning; 10 laps to go as this is typed. This afternoon's truncated race will be live on NBCSports right after the re-broadcast of today's German GP race.
The afternoon race was kind of interesting. Dry to rain, back to dry.
Pit strategy won the race.
Power closed the point gap. He finished 3rd.
People complain NASCAR can't run a race. At least they would have had the good sense to let everyone go get out of the rain instead of pretending at some point they would work up the nerve to race in the wet.
If this were an actual race track I think they would have gone ahead with Saturday's race. But street tracks just don't dry out like purpose built tracks do. Plus, if the pace car spins out because its so wet think that's a good indicator that its too wet ro race.
Caught the last half of the morning race and just put thr second one on that I recorded.
Also, can anyone else not see Sacha Baron Cohen's character from 'Talladega Nights' whenever Simon Pagenaud talks.
