This same company was found to be towing and auctioning military members' cars illegally.

I'll share my experience with Vince. I used to hit their auctions looking for deals. One auction I had a lady come up to me afterwards and ask if I was a mechanic. I told her no but I mess around with cars. She asked me to look at the car she and her daughter bought. I walk over to a 90s Honda and see that it's a manual. Told her wow if I had seen that I would have bid. She freaks out and says that they can't drive a manual. Their bid was low, IIRC it was like $350. Told her that I would take their bid so that they didn't get banned from future auctions. We walk in and explain to Vince what's going on and he's ok with it. He goes to run my card and the mofo put the price as the next highest bid over their bid. Only like $25 but I was thinking you know I saved you from having a nonpaying bid and you screwed me.
Karma is a bitch.

I wonder if a friend of ours at JSO had a hand in this case? It seems like a thing he would enjoy and a thing he would be in a unique position to understand.
Wow these guys are like vultures preying on the people.
Literal definition of scum.

My boss and his ex-wife just got caught up in something like this.
I didn't get the whole story, but apparently they had to meet at a DMV near Philadelphia, where parking was ambiguous. They came out and both their cars were on hooks, tow drivers just hanging out waiting.
"$250 now, and I'll drop it. Otherwise I take it to impound where it will be $500."
You couldn't pay me enough to deal with living in a city.

Someone needs to find a bigger tow truck and do the same thing to them.
