Lobster Sliders at Lime Rock.
Real lobster or surimi? Suspicious Coastal Boy is suspicious.
If it's real, lemme have two of them. And I'll be back tomorrow for a couple more.
Real deal. I eat enough of both to know the difference. And there were some very convincing chunks of claw meat in there.

SWEET! I gotta get to Lime Rock once before I kick. And respect to the track vendor for not taking the cheap way out.

The vendor was Harpoon Ale.
Funny story about that.
I'm at my table under the Harpoon tent and there's a guy at the next table wearing a shirt that says "Skip Barber" on it, which is not unusual to see at Lime Rock. But, for some reason, his Skip Barber shirt looks different than the other 10,000 Skip Barber shirts that I've seen. I soon realize that it's because his shirt says "Skip Barber" on the opposite side that it normally would.
At this point, it becomes clear to me that I am sitting next to Skip Barber...
Back in my days of crewing in IMSA, I got pretty well known as a pit cook. Unfortunately nothing as luscious as those, just good burgers and dogs. Still lots better than the concession stands.

I wonder what he's doing these days, now that he doesn't run "Skip Barber".
Harpoon's a great vendor, if you ever get a chance to tour their Windsor, VT or Boston, MA breweries, I would highly recommend it!

Here's an action shot of him later in the day. He's still got it...

I don't think he does anymore.
Anyone ever go to the Washington Hill Climb? At the bottom, across the road from the entrance is a place that serves lobster rolls. Holy donut holes, are they good.

Cool story, but since I read the first sentence as "I'm under my table", it was even better - until I went back and re-read.
