Graham Hill also competed at LeMans driving a car with a unique engine package.

What American-made race car featured a similar power source?

Chrysler with a turbine? I think it was called teh patriot. I am not sure if that car ever raced.

There was also a car that won Indy with a diesel, but that can't be it because a lot of cars run with diesels now.

Gilles unfortunately died without winning the World Championship. IIRC, the only father/son combo is Graham and Damon Hill.

EDIT: If it ain't the turbine, I don't know the answer to the other one..

Here's a clue - there was more than one turbine-powered race car.........

What non-Alfa Romeo vehicle also uses a rear transaxle and De Dion rear suspension?

Got a model?

I was actually not aware that Lancia did, I was looking for a non-Italian car. But come up with the model and you win.

I was thinking the Fulva, but not sure. i also believe Citreon built a model or two with the DeDion rear suspension, and I was also thinking Peugeot. And there's one more Road and Track profiled back in the 60s, that was a bit odd for the manufacturer, but I can't remember who it was--my mind's eye can see it, but no model or manufacturer name.

I don't think any Citroen or Peugeots that were DeDion and a rear transaxle.

You may be thinking of a Rover P6, it had a DeDion, but not a rear transaxle either.

Yeah, your right with the rear transaxle. I can "see" the car on the page, but not the name. Ugh, getting older sucks.

Correct, sir.

Both were designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (along with the VW Rabbit, the Ferrari 250 GT, the DeTomaso Mangusta, and the lowly Hundai Sonata, among a host of others).
