12 volt salt spinner speed controller.. anyone have any thoughts or places i cant seem to find.. looking for something that is rotary dial.. for my tailgate spreader spinner motor.

If it's a standard 12v DC motor, just pick up a little project box and 1.2k-ohm pot from Radio Shack(do they even sell that stuff anymore???) and you'll be all set. Really, all you need to do is drop the voltage applied to the motor to slow it down. I dont think the motor would have a very high current rating, but if it's marked it would be easier to spec the correct potentiometer.

They list others. Tain't cheap! If you're not overly concerned with fine speed control and just want to be able to reduce it, use an inline lightbulb.
