Thanks for the heads up!

That's better that F1 tape delay (F, I mean, Thank You, Fox).

We went to see these guys at Mid-Ohio. 58 cars started the race ! Makes the first corner really entertaining.

Some good racing...first one I ever watched. That guy in the Porsche tried everything to get past the Camaro but no dice. Both those guys were doing a great job.

Reminds me of what World Challenge used to be (and hopefully will be again).

OT: have to mention that SPEED was promoting their usual array of shows at every commercial break, and not a single one of them did I deem worthy of my time. WTF is wrong with the people that run that channel?

They're Fox. You know, the same people who bring us Fox News? Sheesh, it's like questioning the origins of the meat in convenient store hot dogs.

That has nothing to do with it, and you know it. It's about Mtv style programming, which they think will bring in the younger viewers.

Be glad that it WAS televised, for when Fox bought the channel, it was THIS close to becomming The NASCAR Channel...which is where it's headed now. And where the advertising dollars are.(Speed2 on line debuts later this year, that will have more sports car-type racing coverage from here and overseas).

In reply to triumph5:

Grand-Am Racing is owned by NASCAR, for the most part. That's why it gets so much coverage on SPEED.

Fox executives will be Fox executives . . .

Whether they're driven by politics or advertising, their decisions usually deliver what seems like a compromised product aimed at the lowest common denominator.

If you're going to bring out the broad brush to paint a picture, you should include ALL media executives.

Just to be "fair and balanced", you know?

hehe - good point!

I guess Fox owned channels are the most obvious about it.

Fox is "obvious" because it takes a different direction with its' commentary/editorial content. Way too many people notice that without regarding what the "others" are doing.

Media bias is (and has been) pervasive. Look at it like an aquatitic environment; a fish doesn't know its' wet until its' taken out of the water.
