Dad and young son upgrade worn out pedal car:
man, thats stinking cool, but did you read the comments on that video? "hope your kid realizes there are starving kids in africa... and he's driving a souped up car..."
or
"your a bad parent because your kid is driving fast... he can be killed"
haters.

Youtube comments typically make you weep for humanity. Ignore them as they know not what they do.
That smile on the kid says it all. He will want a shifter Kart next year. Dad, get back to work, and enjoy that giant smile on your face.
As the father of a 2 1/2 year old daughter and an unborn son (most likely), I approve of this video! I am even more jealous of one of my wife's nephews. His grandfather is a bodyman, and he spent over 1000 hours modifying a rascal scooter and hand making from scratch 1969 Camaro convertible body for it, with working lights and everything... it looks exactly like a tiny scaled down version of the real thing.
This to me is responsible parenting at its best. To be honest, the modified Lightning could have gone faster, but it looks like the dad went with a fast, but age appropriate speed, maybe 10 mph by my guess. Kudos to him!
