Search methods to strip it down. It's working so far on my tiny netbook. Lots of features of W10 are turned off or deleted doing that.
It may well be automatic Microsoft updates loading in the background. This isn't a noticeable problem on faster connections, but if you've a slower connection, the impact of this can be appreciable.
Is everything going at a snail's pace? I had a similar issue after an update. What I ended up doing was increase the Virtual Memory to max specs.
That fixed my machine, and it's been fine ever since.
