I've got a video that I'm trying to upload to post here and on Facebook. I've tried photobucket and Facebook, but it keeps failing. It's less than 4 minutes. This is the first time I've tried to do this. What am I missing?

Tried sticking it on Youtube and then posting the links or embedding it?

Takes me well over an hour to get a 9 min video on YouTube.

I use Quick Time to convert the video for the web, which really knocks down the uploading time.

In reply to nicksta43:

The problem isn't how long it takes, but that it won't upload at all.

Yeah, this. I looked on the website and it seems as clear as mud to me.

well, most online video hosting sites like Vimeo and youtube have converted to an mp4 native video format to run inside their respective HTML5 or Flash embedded app thingies on web pages.

so if you goto upload something not mp4, say a DV file from a DV camcorder or something, then as you upload it, the website is (slowly) trying to convert it to mp4.

you can make it mp4 much faster yourself usually with a program like Quicktime, but its not the only one out there.

Oh... sorry guys. I have an app called "Quicktime". If you open up a video in that app, you can "export for web" and it compresses the file, or greatly reduces it. Then it takes a fraction of the time to upload it. I use it on a Mac, but it is available for windows too.

In reply to Lesley:

I need it for an iPad. Unless I'm missing it, it's not available.

For an iPad? Hmmm... I don't think Quicktime is available for the iPad. Try this:
