I have a very important shipment coming in via UPS Red Label. Supposed to be here by 3:30PM. Tracking shows it was out for delivery at 7:30AM. Don't have it yet at 5:00PM. I have to have it to my freight forwarder by 5:30PM. 8000.00 order to a VERY difficult customer. (I have fired him as a customer twice) If it does not ship today, I am into a huge pile of steaming dog poo. Sorry, I just don't know where else to vent. Anybody else have problems with UPS?
I'm wanting to get a job driving in brown shorts, beyond that I have nothing.
My laptop, as delivered by UPS.

I received a guitar from UPS, similarly crumpled. At least it was insured and they paid for it without too much foot dragging.
WHAT CAN BROWN DO FOR YOU?!?!?
C here for answers
I refuse to pay UPS for shipping, and I've gone to the point of not using vendors who use ups, when usps is just as slow out where I live. Too often I have the same result. And the drivers that seem to have to routes out here where I live don't seem to understand that just because it's a dirt drive that's 3/4 mile long you can't haul butt down it, I've got a 7 year old niece and 10 dogs on our property, hit one of em with that big brown E36 M3 box you call a truck and you won't make it off the property alive. that and there's a well worn area where EVERYONE else drives that's nice and tan, you think they would take the hint, nope middle of the yard raining or not, big divots, and they tend to turn the tires in the grass which makes my old man happy in ways I won't mention.
We use UPS regularly and receive 2-3 packages a day from them. Don't really have any problems. The only air shipments that have been late were the shippers fault not UPS.
Good luck with your package, there is nothing worse than a pissy customer.
UPS Red Label...man that's old school terminology..it's called Next Day Air now and judging the 3:30 delivery time it's probably A Saver shipmaent as well.
Call your local terminal and have them message the driver to meet you somewhere, they all have in car ( actually in their DIAD ) messaging that that can use to tell you if/when they can deliver it.
Only time UPS has let me down.. they spent a week paving my street. He could not get down it and simply saved up all the packages.
Sucked, I was in the process of building a new computer and did not have time to go down to the depot to get them myself.

Oh yea. I love their online tracking. It lets me watch my guaranteed overnight delivery packages go back and forth between distance locations for days on end, sometimes weeks. All packages must go through Georgia at least 6 times it seems.
It ain't just UPS folks. We orderd some coolers full of sample containers to be shipped from a lab in NE Tenn to NW SC. They ended up in Oregon. Not sure they ever got here. We had to re-order.

It's also great to see how quickly it gets to a hub, only to see it sit there for the next 36 hours.
My funny UPS story: years ago we lived on a narrow, private, dirt road. Knowing that the big brown truck had a problem with this, we worked hard to avoid UPS shipping, but occasionally merchants would ignore our plea.
After waiting for a package for three or four days beyond the expected delivery date, I called UPS (this was before the interweb tracking systems). They advised that they did indeed have my package, would not deliver it because of the private road and I would have to come pick it up at their warehouse, during business hours - over an hour drive one way.
After contemplating taking a half-day off work for this task, I proposed an alternative solution - I told them that it was worth $15 to call Fed-Ex to pick up the package and deliver it to me. I also told them I would encourage Fed-Ex to cite this in their advertising.
The UPS dispatcher was on my doorstep with my package and his tail between his legs in one hour.

Well, it all ended OK. Brown showed up at 5:25, I called the freight forwarder, and they agreed to stay a few minutes and wait for me. Made it there with a few minutes to spare. I paid 315.00 for that shipping, looks like we might get a refund.
Good luck trying to get a refund. I am in the middle of a $210 fight with UPS. I sent a package to canada UPS expedited with a guaranteed delivery date. They attempted to deliver the package on the right date at the wrong address (they admit their fault) then stuffed it in a warehouse for a week, then some how it was delivered without their knowledge but they still think they have it so they couldnt refund until they knew they delivered it. 3 weeks later they decide that they delivered it that morning and that I dont get a refund because it went through customs and that just had to have been the holdup.
