Had a '64 Galaxie convertible 352 4 speed when I was 17.

It's on my list ......

I regret selling the 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II hardtop that I drove in high school. My grandparents bought it new before I was born and I pretty much grew up in that car. It had a leaky gas tank and I couldn't find a replacement (pre-internet).

I regret selling my '94 F150 short bed, 300 six, 5-speed.

When i was in hs my dad and my hobby we go I g to look T old cars, we never bought one but passed up a few nice ones. A 1500$ dodge demon that was in good shape but cheap bc it was slant 6, and a 69 camaro ss clone all restored for 9000$. The interior was all new and included just needed to be put back together

Will forever regret selling my '64 Fairlane Sport Coupe.

I regret having to sell both my 89 911 targa and my 98 S1 Elise before moving over here.

Biggest regret about the one that got away was a pre-lit Westfield 7 that would have been eligible for importation...

My first car was a used '73 RX-2 with a new engine compliments of Mazda. I drove it for years, then graduated college and sold it. It was totalled in a T-bone crash a few weeks later.

I passed on a '68 or '69 Firebird my freshman year of college. Well within my price window, but I decided it didn't have enough cargo capacity. Been kicking myself for years.

Regret selling the truck I bought instead of the Firebird, '71 Chevy C10. White-over-blue two tone, cammed-up 350. Sold 'cause it got crappy fuel economy, I was enlisting, and it deserved a better home (it got one).

I had a rust free '69 Firebird with a 6cyl OHC and powerglide. After I finished rebuilding the engine and painting the car I sold it to buy an MGB. The Firebird sold for only $900.00 back in 1986.

Regret selling 72 challenger 440 6 pack 4 speed. Regret not buying 911 SC, 964 heck almost all air-cooled porsches that I've let slip by

I regret selling my 55 chev after I got married. I regret not buying that C5 I looked at a few weeks ago.

I regret selling my BMW 2002. Sold it as a 95% complete megasquirt conversion. Guy I sold it to did the last few things, got it running, let tuner studio figure out the tune and sold it for a big profit. Only sold it because I didn't want to transport the car from AL to MN when I relocated.

I regret selling my first car. 1980 T/A, never should have sold it. It had some rust in the usual places but I feel like I let it down by passing it on, I'm sure it's crushed by now.

I seriously wish I still had all my cars. If I had the money I'd never sell anything, but the ones I really wish I still had are the 96 Impala SS, 77 Monte Carlo, 79 WS6 T/A, 76 Cutlass, 86 GMC Sierra Classic and the 80 BMW 320is.

As you can see, I believe the 1970's were the pinnacle of automotive achievement

I often times regret selling my 1986 base as base model gets RX-7. Now I eventually have to find an 86 or 87 no sunroof no power steering FC. It will either have a ported 13b or V8 swap.

Bought the Alfa when I graduated from college. Got it in good mechanical shape and had it repainted. A year later I built a race car and bought a car to tow it with. Then I got married, moved and had no where to park/store four vehicles (including wifes'). So I sold the race car and the Alfa. Wish I still had it as it was a fun car to drive and now would be worth 10 times what I paid for it.

In 1997, I sent $15k on a brand new car. I was single, no kids, had a short commute, and could have had any car I wanted to buy for up to about $20k.

I bought a Saturn SL2 with pretty much zero options because I thought I was of the age where I needed to have a four-door responsibilitymobile. Whoops.

I have a few cars/trucks I miss. Most regret was the 71 Formula 400 4spd car I sold due to needing money. It was a numbers matching car and was fun to drive. After I sold it my Dad said he should have bought it, a bit late then.

I do miss the '00 Dakota RT I had, it was a fun truck to drive. Maybe one day I will find another. I also miss the 92 Achieva SCX, the car I started autoxing in. That W41 engine was a blast to drive, car was quicker than it looked. Looking back I would love to have done a full tilt prepared or modified build with it.

My '71 Cuda. Wife wanted a house.

I was given one of these when I was around 13-years old. It was in good condition, but needed either a starter or alternator - I don't remember which one, but even at that time I new it was a minor repair. My father, who was definitely was not a car person, thought it would have been too much trouble/expense to have it towed to a shop and repaired.

The elderly gentleman who'd offered me the car eventually moved to Florida, and the property - car included - was vandalized and trashed.

not buying 87 grand national with blown engine when i was 16 for $500 thinking i couldn't afford to replace the motor, then having one pop up for $300 a few weeks after i passed on the car.

I regret smashing up my blazing copper mazda6 I had for 3 months.

I regret that dad's 1968 BMW 2002 was smashed into by a drunk driver when I was 15. Would have made a great project. Dad took delivery in Germany new.

I still miss my 95 Z07 Corvette. Bought a faster, race-only Vette and enjoyed nearly going broke dragging it to autocrosses all over the Southeast behind a 99 SD F250 Powerstroke. I needed to make more money to afford that for long. Live and learn.

I REALLY regret that I let a guy in my club drive the race car. He demolished its TKO transmission on his second run. That was expensive for me - he didn't have the $ to pay for the repair and having the car down for the last 2 events of the year kept me out of the points nationally that I'd chased all year. Still, I got my first overall FTD in that car, so it wasn't a total fail.

The other cars I wish I'd kept were a 91 Maxima SE 5m I owned in the mid 90s, the '02 Saab 9-5 wagon with manual trans, and a 95 Caprice 9C1 with a really, really healthy engine that had a few mods.

In the mid-2000s I worked with an independent auto dealer who had owned a small Chevrolet dealership in SC until the early 80s. He took a 1967 L88 Corvette in trade in the mid 70s but had a small daughter and had switched to driving Z28s because they had a backseat. He didn't keep the L88, which to be fair wasn't yet the ne plus ultra of midyears. It was just another Vette with a hot engine.
