So I'm trying to get my neighbour's old dune buggy running. Can anyone tell me which terminal is which on this voltage regulator? It's a 1970 1500cc engine with a generator.

I guess I should've started by saying there are no markings on this regulator. I need to know which terminal is 61, DF and D+. The B+ terminal and ground is self explanatory.

The diagram above shows it pretty well.  I googled "1970 VW voltage regulator" and clicked on "Images" and found several labeled pictures. Pick the one that looks most like yours. Here is one example:
