impulse bought a $1k 960 wagon - 212k miles, decent driver, has heat. now that I'm home & Googled it I see it has 30k timing belt change? arg, anyone had one of these & know any other surprises?
also, been out of the Volvo forum business for awhile; let me know what the rwd Volvo forum gold standard is these days....
thanks

turbobricks.com is a good forum.
i have no idea about the timing belt changes.
What MY? '92-'93 had an undersized timing belt that needed frequent changing. '94 got a slightly larger one, and then '95 and up had a proper belt with a longer interval.
At least it's pretty easy to change. I don't like the job on the sideways motors at all...
Brickboard.com has good info on RWD repair.
Yep, its a 92. I see a volvo serviced timing belt change sticker but I cant tell if it was done at 145K or 195K. Grrr, chicken scratch...
Thanks for the links, looks like its an easy change ;)
