impulse bought a $1k 960 wagon - 212k miles, decent driver, has heat. now that I'm home & Googled it I see it has 30k timing belt change? arg, anyone had one of these & know any other surprises?

also, been out of the Volvo forum business for awhile; let me know what the rwd Volvo forum gold standard is these days....

What MY? '92-'93 had an undersized timing belt that needed frequent changing. '94 got a slightly larger one, and then '95 and up had a proper belt with a longer interval.

At least it's pretty easy to change. I don't like the job on the sideways motors at all...

Yep, its a 92. I see a volvo serviced timing belt change sticker but I cant tell if it was done at 145K or 195K. Grrr, chicken scratch...
