I have had good luck with Uniroyal tires. Getting ready to replace the ones on my van. They made it to 70000 on a 8000# E-250. Run them on my wife's Venture as well. I have heard that they are made by Michelin but with out the high price. Good ride and quiet on the Venture. Not high performance, but a good long life tire.
I'll look into Uniroyal. We aren't looking for performance, except for maybe gas mileage. Maybe.
The problem here is that I was unaware of the car needing them until yesterday; I have been away at college. So now I'm planning on an 800 mile roundtrip drive from Thursday through Sunday, so I might be limited to whatever the local guys have in stock.
