I saw this one today, and had a chance to talk to the owner/builder. It's a former fleet truck, with a full sleeper and one drive axle removed. The smart car sits on a tilt table, driven by a pneumatic cylinder. At full tilt, the owner attaches ramps (you can see the ramps stored under the rear of the car) and backs the car off, no issues with breakover angle.
I love creative builds/builders!

That is awesome. Kudos to the builder/designer.

Oh, and I asked him if using a semi-tractor to tow a 5th wheel was a bit of overkill. His response was that the used truck didn't cost significantly more than a new crew-cab dually and had never stranded him, "unlike a little truck".
I'd imagine that that truck hardly notices the camper at all.

Let's say the tractor portion weighs 20k lbs with the car on it. The GCVW on a tractor-trailer is 80k lbs. I'm guessing that 5th wheel weighs just a bit less than 60,000 lbs!
Wow, there are two of them
