I ran over to Wally world to pick some stuff up this weekend, ran through the Toy Department to see if any cool Hot Wheels were hanging..............Gone - The Local Super Walmart no longer carries Hot Wheels or Match Boxes.
What's up here? How am I ever going to get the BRE Datsun Hot Wheel this summer?
Got Kroger near you? That's where i got my BRE Datsun.
Let me know if you can't find one, i'll try to hook you up.
Kroger? No - I thought the BRE Datsun 510 wasn't coming out until July? Pics......
I have seen 1,000,000+ Kroger chicken boxes at the 20+ Indy 500's I have attended though........

I think my brain skipped BRE even though my hands typed it. I've gotten two nickel dimes from Kroger so far with vintage liveries, though.
Maybe they're made in America.
OOH! I don't consider myself a collector, I am more passive than anything, but I MUST have a BRE 5 dime!

Walmart was picked over as hell when I was there last. I know Kmart has that deal with hotwheels, I wonder if that doesn't have something to do with. Sort of an FU to Walmart.

Pette, I see them at Krogers down here in BloNo, dunno about the BRE one. If I see one I'll pick it up for you.

That Collector series is amazing. The Boss 302 T/A's are so good I had to buy 2 of each so I could play with them! They're making a bunch of other Trans Am cars too, including Donohue's Javelin!!
I just bought a tesla at the walmart in Fenton, mi tonight!
Joey
Gurney's AAR Cuda is going to be out soon also.

Ooooh looks like I need another storage bin.
By the end of the summer I will have an entire Trans Am field on my desk at work. I need to paint a track on it!
I picked up a Caterham Matchback - pretty neat but seems hard to find

^ I can't find that one anywhere. Every place I go look at Matchbox cars only has Prius', Insights, & Austin vans. I guess no one else wants them either.
I response to OP one of the Walmarts near me had zero Hot Wheels on the shelf about a month ago & maybe a handful of MB cars. No idea why?
I've been collecting them for the past couple of years. It started when I learned about the upcoming grandson, who is now 2. When he turns 4 or 5 I gonna give them to him all at once. I have over 200 Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars as of now.
Wal Mart here had them as late as last Saturday, not sure how many they have now. Kroger and Target are also good places, with Kroger usually the cheapest.
When they have really cool ones, I usually get a spare for myself too!

Must..........resist.......temptation.
I would be like an alcoholic taking just one shot.
1) Mattel has recently confirmed that the Hot Wheels BRE Datsun 510 John Morton Trans-Am cars will be released in the originally planned Sept timeframe and 2) BRE will have a limited number of the cars available on their website //www.bre2.net. When they're available for purchase they'll be announced in the BRE newsletter. You can sign up for the newsletter at the website in the INFO section. We're looking forward to their release!
The local supercenters have plenty in stock. Store 100 even had a bin of them in Action Alley. Maybe your store moved them to Action Alley.
I have 3 of those white Caterhams on my desk. Actually, I have 2 Europas, an Esprit and the Seven next to each other. This mirrors my full size Lotus collection, but in different colors and slightly different year/model variations. The full size cars are an S2 Europa, TCS Europa, Esprit Turbo and Locost. The Mattel versions are 2 TCS', a V8 Esprit and the Cat, and the colors are different.
I was at Wallytopia for lunch and there was no shortage of Hot Wheels.
Meijer has them on sale for $.50. Incredibly picked over.
