Hey, my second post today about writing.
This coming Sunday–as in Sunday, September 22 from 2-4 p.m.–you’ll find me at the Orlando Literary Expo. It takes place at the Orlando Public Library’s downtown branch. There’s a parking garage across the street.
What’s going on? It’s a place to meet the various Central Florida literary organizations: poetry, sci-fi, children’s books, etc. Each group will have a table in the library’s lobby.
I’ll be at the Orlando Zine Meetup table–and that reminds me that I need to fold some zines tonight....
And here I thought this was a job posting for GRM...
And more groups will be there than I thought: I count 17. Last year we welcomed a steady stream of people seeking creative outlets. It was fun.
We have a local writers’ group here in Ormond. I think the meetings help get the creative juice moving and also reinforces that, yes, you can go write. Like, you don’t need a license or anything. I served as the featured speaker at this month’s meet. The topic: short-form writing projects like zines, comics, poetry collections and photo books. It was like show and tell.

Me too!
Well, similar but different. Think of it as a different writing opportunity. :)
