Well, at least I will have time to claw my way back up to the top of the leaderboard. 
Last Wednesday I went in the hospital because I had been diagnosed with bladder cancer and a seriously big bladder stone, no thanks to my first idiot urologist. Once the doc went in via cytoscope (I don't even wanna think about that, shiver) it turned out there were two tumors in there, one easily removed, the other not so much; it appears to have made it into the bladder muscle wall. So as a precaution he ordered a bone scan, turns out there are also two tumors in my T9 vertebra. Oh, funsies. 
The oncologist is upbeat, says there is no evidence of any other spread and these are positioned so that radiation therapy will be easy. Once those are done they will go back to the one in my bladder which will probably involve a combination of radiation and chemo, with surgery as a very outside possibility. Yeah, baby.
Gotta stay out of work for a while because my back just hurts too damn bad. If all goes well, I'll do a couple weeks radiation, get where I can get around, then go back to work, the treatments will be 15 minutes daily for six weeks and lucky for me the office is a stone's throw from where I work. The other treatment for the bladder thing might get nasty if it does involve chemo, will cross that bridge at that time.

I work at a cancer hospital as well. Staying positive is so important to your recovery, so please postwhore away! Each post is one cancer cell dead.
Good luck, sounds like it's not too bad (as cancer goes).
And oddly this news comes on the same day we find out that the leader board is making a return….

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis.. My sister just got put some thyroid cancer into remission. It's not fun, but if I know anything about you.. You'll get through it all with a smile. You always seem to.
