I did a lot of skiing in the '90's. This guy was the final word, the authority. He was the artform. Great stuff.
College wouldn't have been the same without his movies on VHS. House full of skiers/climbers, cold nights, full couch and Warren Miller on the TV.
I may have appeared in one of his movies, titled "endless Winter" ? I was filmed on Mt. Washington/Tuckerman's Ravine.
Wait. He's not wearing goofy goggles and a childs bicycle helmet! I shall read further about this fellow.
I was just thinking about him this past weekend. He certainly figured out an enjoyable way to earn a living; get paid for doing what you love.
