According to father said: "He loves cars, and he said, 'Nice car. What kind of rims you got on there?' and (Lehman) said, 'That's a stupid question,' and he hit him," James' father, Darrell Foster said. Eyewitnesses said Foster stood motionless, then Lehman hit him again, this time much harder. Foster fell to the ground and struck his head on the pavement.

Witnesses said they heard Lehman say, "I put people to sleep, that's what I do," as he left the scene.

Man, that is just stupid. People that commit violent crimes on innocent people are scum of the earth. Not just hitting him once, but hitting him harder for a second time just shows that he had intent to really hurt him. Dude should go to prison for a long time.

Luckily that kid woke up out of his Coma. How damaged his brain is, is now the question.

I don't get why Lehman hit this kid. He's just a juiced up TAPOUT loving douchebag. I can't believe he got a $75k bail. That's just wrong. That jackass should have been put away for a long time.

I hope he gets what he deserves.

If I was that dad, it would take every last ounce of strength to not murder that turd. I would get sadistic on his ass.

Heard that slowly cutting out finger and toenails with an old razor blade is a good form of getting a point across..........

This motherberkeleyer deserves a slow and painful life from this point on out.

You're pretty gentle. I've heard that pliers are a popular option.

Quote from the dad: "If the glass (at the courtroom) wasn't there, I think I would have gone through the glass," Darrell Foster said. "You want to choke him, you know? You look at him and you think, 'My son's in a coma.'"

I'm stoked as hell if someone compliments my car. I don't get why you do something like this. The GOOD thing is- if he goes to prison- there's gonna be someone bigger and badder than him.

Thats because he'll be a nobody in prison. And when he acts like a tough guy, he'll get whats coming to him.

Or he'll join a gang. Then everything we hope for isn't going to happen.

I'm going to guess he's one of those guys that thinks he's hard because he hangs out in the gym and his arms are big. He wouldn't keep his mouth shut in prison, and it's pretty safe to say he'd eventually run into someone who has actually seen/done some heavy stuff.

The kind of person who thinks knocking some unsuspecting kid out in a parking lot makes him a badass isn't one.

I'm talking about the culture if violence that's encouraged by the entertainment industry. Now keep your opinions to yourself before I punch you in the face.

I know he is in pain and just spounting gibberish... but it really would have been hilarious of the author to follow that with "It wasn't immediately clear how Mr. Foster planned to go through glass that wasn't there."

You're looking at it from a rational car-guy perspective.

Try looking at it from the psychotically insane perspective.

You buy a set of wheels, not because you like the way they look or because they have the right fitment, but because they are a very expensive brand and you want to show off just how much money you have to spend: conspicuous consumption.

Some kid walks up and says "Nice car. What wheels are those?" He just massively dissed you, claiming to not recognize the wheels you bought! It's an even worse insult than if he said "I heard you have a nice car. Why did you bring this one instead?" So of course he needs to be attacked.
