So I started following three particular build threads over in the Projects section. I've started living vicariously through them since I can't seem to make the time for my project because of all the other projects I have to do, in between the projects I'm working on.
The problem is, I'm hooked. I find myself checking these threads daily and thinking 'what the heck. It's been literally dozens of minutes since I last checked, and there's been NO UPDATE AT ALL!!!' Then I realize that these people have jobs to keep, family to spend time with, bowels to evacuate, etc. Those things are getting in the way of my happiness!!
I figure that we have 500+ members that post every month (??). Maybe we should pay $10/month to
Petegossett
PimpM3
and 2K4Kcsq
so they can quit their jobs and get these projects done. They can fake a FMLA case so their jobs are there for them when they are done with the projects.
I would include joey's 32 Datsun build.

Any other nominations? Can you include a link?

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Trust me, it's been torment for me too going 4-days without any progress...
So, kinda like a GRM Go Fund Me
Just show some video of lonely dust covered projects over a Sarah McLachlin song. The checks should come rolling in to make that stop.
Just start a patreon so people can pledge monthly support.
If you can make it happen that would be amazing. From the ends of the last few videos, it seems even project binky is having trouble garnering paid support.

SBF's Corvair.
Oh you're too kind.
But to keep with the idea, what if we picked three people a month, then vote who gets the money. I think we'd get more people to participate that way.

I totally forgot about your build thread when I rediscovered it this past week, the date on the first page of posts got me hoping for a completed car by the last page. I still had a fun read, and looked at craigslist for some 'vairs, but only found a couple of the Greenbriar vans, which lead to a different rabbit hole.
A Greenbrier is next on the list after my '68 is done.
if you guys knew the stuff i was sitting on because of lack of time, your heads would explode.
I want to know where Harv from Cleveland went with that sweet Orange BMW 2002. I'd throw money his way.
We could do a rolling deal that gets voted on once a year.
I keep checking my own build thread and am surprised at how little progress there is.
Ok just stop that!
I'm on vacation for a couple days to do some work around the house and I don't need anymore distractions.
I read the post then went to the links and stared reading. I had to tell myself no!! Doggone I'm not gonna get anything done at this rate
It just occurred to me- what about those who have created "epic" build threads? Like Mazdeuce, irish44j, etc.?

So when I send my 1800ES up to you to do the bodywork on, I should just pack it full of beer?

I'm just happy to not be nominated for stalled build threads even though I have way more stuff sitting still than moving forward.
Remember, money only helps if money is the problem. Fixing lack of time or motivation or creativity is much harder.
My Trans Am build is stalled because it's now winter and it hurts to be outside, and the car doesn't fit well in the garage. Blah.

That would probably work in that the beer budget in the Three-Pete garage tends to be way more than the car budget.
The usual suspects toiling on a car, all three of us answer to the call of "Pete"
I'd chip in for the "Rice Rod" build thread....
Build Thread Link
And maybe even the Mullet Truck

I think the current custodian of the Fubaru probably needs help.
