Admitted, I musta missed the lawn care gene. Time permitting, I may rake after a heavy cut but the lawn still looks like E36 M3. Till this year, turning over a new leaf. Tow behind dethatcher and lawn sweeper, broadcast spreader, bingo. Treated the yard w/ Grub-Ex a couple weeks ago, the lumps were a killin' me. Next phase: dandelion and weed control.
Weed n Feed appears to be the Easy Button here from online search. Some say not so much or it's chemically bad for the earf. I don't know anybody versed in it and folks at work seem to not bother w/ it.
Is it the answer or are there alternatives such as fertilizers and/ or other treatments?
Scott's hosed up their southern weed n feed formula this year. Toasted a bunch of friends lawns in South Carolina. Get some milorgantie and a separate weed killer.

Including mine. It's just starting to fill back in the dead spots.
spread lime and over seed with new grass seed. I don't do any weed and feed stuff. Make the grass happy and let it out compete the weeds.
What's the easy way to get rid of the lumps? My lawn grows well, but is pretty bumpy and rolling a couple of times a season doesn't seem to do much.
I spot treat with Weed B Gone. (original)(the crab grass formula sucks)
