STUART, Fla. — A Florida man is facing charges after authorities say he was naked and covered in feces when he broke into a resident's backyard and jumped into the pool.

A Martin County Sheriff's Office report shows 21-year-old Robert Stark Higgins was charged with burglary to an occupied dwelling, disorderly conduct and misdemeanor theft.

The resident told deputies he heard Higgins crash through the screen of his pool and take a splash Saturday night. Authorities say Higgins took a towel and fled. Deputies used a K-9 to track Higgins to a home. Higgins told deputies he had been drinking.

He was being held at the Martin County Jail on $10,500 bail. Jail officials said he did not immediately have an attorney.

All that's well and good, but please tell us how he came to be covered in feces.

Species would be nice and did he know her before hand?

Was this some kind of C&W revenge thing to do with his impending divorce?

I'd also think you wouldn't have needed a dog to track him home, humans could smell well enough to follow his trail

:Florida:

Does a guy covered in poo that just jumped in someones pool really necessitate a manhunt with tracking dogs? I mean, I'm still waiting on the return of about 3 car stereos that Austin p has yet to locate and return to me...

Covered in feces? I bet the dogs weren't needed to smell him out.

Why not just say "no bail"

I thought "bail" was supposed to be fair?

Does a 7.95 towel theft plus pool cleaning somehow add up to mean he is a felon and a flight risk?

Obviously, there is a lot more to this story that we will never find out. But, two points- "Alcohol was involved", and Florida.
