Agreed, actually. It could be a fake, but if it is the chops are too terrible to be chops. Or maybe that's what theyw ant you to think...

No really, I agree.

I would, but I think your post would get pulled like mine did. I think there's more threatening subjects on here than that, but what do I know.

I'd love for that particular argument to be ended. It's a fresh wound, though...

I'm not saying we're gonna kill all discussion of this topic. I'm just saying that so far it's 0 for 3 in the "remaining constructive" department.

Please discuss, but do try to refrain from setting the GPS destination of this thread to "doucheville."

Here's my best attempt:

My prediction: Trump, Glen Beck, some of my own family members (yikes,) will not have the proverbial or literal testes to come out and say "Oh. Shnaps. My bad." It will never end, and this has just added fuel to the fire, and with all the important, relevant political discussions we could have, who the berkeley cares about this E36 M3?

I think you're pretty much spot on. I fear that what the White House did today was basically feed the trolls. Conspiracy types don't care about answers, they care about conspiracies.

I have already moved on to the Obama's the Antichrist band wagon anyway. Jump on while ther's still some room. There's no way he can prove he's not until we're all to screwed to care.

I don't know - I was definitely in the doubter category and this convinced me. I think there was a legit reason to wonder aloud prior to this.

Just a little attempt at some levity to the board since we seem to have turned the "knickers in a bunch scale" up to about 1000

It's like GWB sitting down for an interview with Jesse Ventura about 9/11.

So do I. That said: This arguement is so two years ago. He should have produced it then, just like anybody who applies for a drivers' license or (I guess) a federal job.

What I'd REALLY like from him is an explanation about drilling for oil in US territory...is he for it or against it?

Trump wasted a E36 M3load of time and space raising (or re-raising) a non-issue.

Afterbirthers Demand To See Obama's Placenta AUGUST 27, 2009 | ISSUE 45•35 WASHINGTON–In the continuing controversy surrounding the president's U.S. citizenship, a new fringe group informally known as "Afterbirthers" demanded Monday the authentication of Barack Obama's placenta from his time inside his mother's womb. "All we are asking is that the president produce a sample of his fetal membranes and vessels—preferably along with a photo of the crowning and delivery—and this will all be over," said former presidential candidate and Afterbirthers spokesman Alan Keyes, later adding that his organization would be willing to settle for a half-liter of maternal cord plasma. "To this day, the American people have not seen a cervical mucus plug, let alone one that has been signed and notarized by a state-certified Hawaiian health official. If the president was indeed born in the manner in which he claims, then where is his gestation sac?" Keyes said that if Obama did not soon produce at least a bloody bedsheet from his conception, Afterbirthers would push forward with efforts to exhume the president's deceased mother and inspect the corpse's pelvic bone and birth canal

None of these troll topics serve any purpose, other than to make the board, and magazine look bad.

In reply to Zomby woof:

There are others with similar post counts who disagree. That's why it's in "off topic" and the magazine doesn't do political stories.

As long as people play nicely with one another, the topics are pretty free. Abstain at will.

I always did think he was probably born in Hawaii. I still don't understand why he didn't release the document until today. Just weird.

Now, as to why it was finally released after fighting the release for so long, certain states were just about to pass laws requiring presidential candidates to present one. He had no choice if he wants to run in '12.

I'm pretty sure he thought he had supplied the proof.

Certificate released 6/14/08 by Obama

Note the wording at the bottom: This copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding.

Seriously, it was silly and now it's done and it really doesn't have to get all troll-y again, does it?

The thing I don't understand is why his mother ever left Hawaii. If I was there the last thing I would care about is running for office, or pretty much anything else beside my supply of liquor, ice, and pig.

He did. He provided exactly what "anybody" provides. That's what's so amazing about this story. So many people beleived that he did not.

Hey, wait a second. Has anyone seen Sarah Palin's birth cirtificate? I haven't. She's up there so close to Russia. I'm just sayin'.

Weird how? As far as I know, this makes him the only President in our nation's history to have to file for an exemption so he could produce a document other than the legally binding document he already produced. That's the only part that seems weird to me.

In our country's courts, the burden or proof rested on the accusers, not on the defendants. This is exactly why this farce was perpetrated in the media instead of the halls of justice. If there was any ever meat on the bones of this thing, it would have been in court very quickly.

Our leaders (not just the elected ones, the thought leaders as well) should spend their time fixing things instead of acting like middle-schoolers in a huff.

Yeah, I know, I'm a hopeless idealist.
