I was looking through the local Letgo to see what was for sale... And found Sema left overs.. cool one time.. not cool any more.

I don't hate that. Except for the color.

Ah yes, the old "SEMA car" value boost. Just because it was displayed at SEMA doesn't make it inheritnly worth more.
A little more blue and a little less purple, that fade would look pretty good
I had a 2000 exploder 2 door, they are pretty pointless. would at least get the 4 door if I was gonna do that again.
If stuck with that, I would matte black plastidip the hell out of it.
I actually hate the wheels more than the color. With some decent wheels and a different color it wouldn't be bad.

Did they put mirrors behind the wheels?
Wheel covers. It was a thing on big wheels for a while to hide the brakes. Origin of spinners, really.

What are you talking about? The color is easily that thing's finest quality. And I don't like the color.
I would like the styling if everything about it were different.

I'd ride out in that. The color is super bizarre.
These are still all over on the north side of Milwaukee. Lots of rust and usually the bumpers are flaking pretty bad, guessing from the paint being really thick with no proper additive for the plastic.
I don't understand lowered trucks........there, I said it.
Meh. I may be a bit nonplussed, but I can't really hate it. I would drive it if I could cut the price down to typical going rates for a 2002 Explorer.
I like the color. That's all I'm going to say.

I'm right there with ya! Well, unless it's a Duallie. I've seen some sweet lowered Duallies.

Indeed. Some really neat stuff has been displayed at SEMA, but if you're just playing the odds, having been a SEMA display car would seem to make it more likely to be much worse than a standard production model.
"Step right up! Spin the wheel of 'upgrades' of dubious value or tastefulness! That's right, big spin! Aaaaaaand... Oo, Lambo doors; so sorry, better luck next time..."
It seems out of the ordinary for Rick Dore. He's more into traditional custom cars, and recently has been doing totally built from scratch cars, but I suppose whatever pays the bills...
In reply to Joe Gearin :
I do as long as it isn't taken to the extremes.
The pink thing not so much. And $11K for a 17yo Exploder is insane. .

What have you got against S-10S?

See, that's the thing. That vehicle started out as a 34 Pontiac. Back when he started scratch building he just made some poor choices.

I always thought it was worse with a dually, even more of a waste
Honestly, if you are towing and not going off road, I dont understand why trucks are so damn high... If they lowered them and made the wheel arches match the height so you didnt need to step up as much... you would also have better dynamics, better fuel economy (marginally), etc.
