That is really cool- you are right MM.
What really made me LOL is that a friend of mine is a hunter, and I don't recall him ever actually shooting a deer, since he only sees them during turkey season. (and vise versa always happens, too).
Where that would be the icign on the cake- that happens after the hunting day ends (and you are an honest hunter, so don't poach). funny.
But to have a wild animal to come up on you like that- incredible.

i was up near Helper, Utah a week or so before hunting season. we were down the road from an outdoor gun range, tons of people there shooting, sighting in their rifles for the upcoming season, and there are deer grazing on the shooting range. it was like they knew exactly when hunting season started. i'm sure they all turned scarce come opening day.
In an area where deer hunting is absolutely insanely popular, I still don't really see the appeal. Hog hunting on the other hand... Yes please.
On the morning drive, I had one actually look both ways, then run across the road. I've never seen one look, just run blindly. Weird.
I saw a video of a deer taking a nap in the middle of a field and a hunter walking up to it thinking it was dead.
I dunno...I couldn't decide if shooting a stupid one (eating from hand) is any easier than a smart one (that runs away).
The farmer next to my grandparents old place raised a buck from a young fawn after the mother was killed by a car. He kept it in a pen but was well into the woods. He loved cheese curls and apples and would eat out of your hand. He'd escape once in a while and the neighbors would call the farmer to alert him but the buck always came home. Come hunting season the farmer would dress the buck, now a nice six point, in an orange vest and later attached a bell around his neck in case the buck escaped during hunting season... imagine seeing that coming through the woods.
