Doesn’t feel much different, honestly. Really, I feel at the point in my life now that I always thought I’d feel at 40. I still worry about what others think of me, but much less now.
I feel like I’m aging ok. No one guesses me at 40. Probably since I haven’t smoked in years, and don’t drink heavily often. Funny story, my neighbor came to my party and couldn’t believe I was turning 40. He had been telling all his coworkers about how “this young millennial guy next door has all kinds of tools and knows how to use them”. He thought I was late 20s! And he himself is less than six months older than me! So that felt good.
Other than that I had a good time with friends and family this weekend. My mom and sister made masks of my face and everyone held them up when I walked out. Very funny.

An old acquaintance, who was 40 when I was 25, summed it up like this: "You graduate, you pay a few bills, and before you know it, you're 40."
Stay active, eat healthy. I'm nearing 60 and I feel pretty much like I did at 40, except I go to bed earlier.

So 40 came and went without any notice....
50, on the other hand.... Hard to miss changes there. And you get the ultimate birthday gift from your doc- a colonoscopy!

However, I was in the PRC last week for depressing family business, and my mother asked me how I was dying my hair and getting those silver streaks in it. She last saw it last Thanksgiving, and it was grey with streaks of dark blond. Now it is the inverse. She thought I dyed it but somehow still had the gray (we call it "Silver") streaks. I attribute it to the NMN I've been taking. It must be doing something.

This is on my radar as well, being that I'll be 40 in 3 months.
Happy Birthday! You have just entered phase I of time acceleration. Phase II is at 50 which is in about 4 1/2 years.
