GHAAAAAAA!
"Bob restored this dry, Western Model A coupe for his wife Jean’s stepfather, then bought it from him and brought it to Portsmouth when he was assigned to Pease Air Force Base decades ago. It sat in a back corner of Bob’s three garages on Bow Street, Hanover Street and Peverly Hill Road in this semi-assembled condition. Mechanically and cosmetically it is sound and, aside from some missing trim parts like hood latches and the disassembled interior, complete. Even the paint is shiny and sound albeit with chips and scratches from long storage. Like the rest of Bob’s Cars we don’t expect it to run, drive or stop without some serious but straightforward attention. The important facts are that it is a dry, solid (as far as we can tell), largely complete project that should be completed with little complication. The bodywork is done, and even the paint is good enough to be driven on tours, to Model A meets and in parades. Bought as is, where is, with all faults and will be available before the auction for personal inspection."
Sold for $6,667.
$7k.....SEVEN GRAND!!! SEVEN FRICKEN GRAND for a clean rust free Model A that just needs to be woke back up. AARRGGHHHHH!!!!!
These cars are so stupid dead nuts simple it isn't even funny. If the engine isn't wounded it could be driving around the neighborhood after a weekend of work.
Appleseed said:I would do awful, awful things to that A.
See you and raise you .......3 inch chop.......pinched '32 frame with kick up in the rear......split bones up front....SBC sportin' 3 dueces
That $56 dollar 914 Targa though.... PCA would love me since I'd show up to events in that Bricklin just because.
Some deals, some about right. I was struck by the $56 914 (arguably the least desirable air cooled, but still air cooled) vs the $5763 Allante... I'd have bid the opposite direction, and I don't like Porsches.
" Other than that, we know nothing: the battery is dead, the doors are locked and we have no idea how to get into it. "
Man, who's going to have to take care of my bunch when I'm gone? I hope it's as well written.
In reply to Keith Tanner :
I think it would be excellent to designate a pool of your friends who have to earn ownership of the vehicles [Top Gear Voiceover] via a series of challenges [/TG]
Contests of mechanical skill, driving prowess, bravery, etc. could be laid out. It would certainly put the fun in funeral
Can somebody please explain to me the $12,543 '86 El Camino though? I like those cars but I never thought we were at the point where they brought real money.

In reply to Daylan C :
The G body was the last of the old school muscle cars and the last one was built like 30 years ago, scarcity has to kick in eventually.
