I'm looking to buy a small back up generator for my house. Wen has a model with features I like at a price I like. It will ship to my door for free.

Before this search I had never heard of Wen and I still don't know much about them. Are they any good? Steer clear?

I have a WEN 2350 watt generator. I believe the engine is a Yamaha clone. I use it for motorcycle events a few times a year and it always performs great for me.

All I've ever done is oil changes and put an actual NGK plug in it.

Its one of the bigger names in chinese clones.  I wouldn't worry about relying on one.

Agreed.  Wen has proven itself as a really good brand.  I have a smaller Wen inverter/generator (2750w) that I love.  Well constructed, always starts, does what it's supposed to do.

Unless the WEN is 1/3 the price of Harbor Freight, just go get a Harbor Freight Predator.

Something to be said for Brick and Mortar.
