Chipotle flavored olive oil!!!! Gone to Heaven !
Stir fry some shrimp, add a little zip to your Tempura batter, Mmmmmm.....
They have little cups of oils and balsamic vinegars to try out, some are silly but must appeal to someone. Violet Oil? Wicked sweet.

Oh yummy! One thing I love about traveling in Europe is the different oils they bring out with assorted breads to dip in it. And balsamic... made by the gods.

The store owner was very happy you stopped by

I too have some olive oil with chili peppers floating in it, it's delicious. I used it to pan-fry chicken parmigana...that was my good idea for the month.

Sometimes little niche stores like that do well in a recession. While a lot of folks can't afford expensive nights out, they often will splurge a bit for a fancy additive to make their home meal feel more exotic.
I stumbled across an olive oil store in Maine. Rockledge, I think.
Big lots allways has sales on odd ball stuff in the food section grm style Nice store though ! Thanks for the link

A place I know of sells most of their stuff online and to other retailers. The shop just breaks even, but I bet that it does a lot in getting the name out there so people recognize it in other stores.

There is now a Saratoga Oil Co here in Burlington, VT.

I would think bacon grease makes that redundant.
