Ft. Lauderdale has been designated the most dangerous driving area in the US, with 22.39 fatalities per 100K population. I had no idea, always thought Miami was much worse. They didn't even make the top 15.

So if I want to bump someone off, I give them a free trip to Ft. Lauderdale and a crappy rental car and hope for the best?
SNOWBIRDS!!
They never drive except when they are in Florida.
I learned to talk to myself while driving when I lived in Fla.
If they are going to turn ONE DAY they will turn the blinker on. It could be an hour before they get there.
They are CERTAIN that the car will tip if the turn a corner in excess of 2 mph!
Lane changes are at their discretion.
Southeast Florida in general is a hellhole and cesspool of horrible drivers. I'm guessing a large percentage of individuals in this region don't even have a license, let alone insurance.
In my recent trip to the Keys, we made a stop in Miami. We were there for 15 minutes and it was enough for my girlfriend to never want to go back.
Give her a real thrill, go to the Fabulous, Famous South Beach. She will strangle you before you can get out of there. I really think I95 in Miami is worse than Ft. Lauderdale, but apparently not.
I think everybody has different ideas where the worst drivers are. I know there are some winners in NYC, DC, Tampa, JAX, and others. Probably Cali has a bunch, too. Orlando was number 2, Augusta is number 3, Little Rock is number 4. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/health/sfl-most-dangerous-driving-cities-81011-pg,0,5675449.photogallery
The sprawling cities in Florida are so bad because drivers tend to use as few brain cells as possible, and the few that are active are focused on everything but their surroundings. In denser metropolitan areas, I have observed that drivers are erratic, but much more predictable.

Florida suffers from what I call 'TIMMFV' syndrome. AKA, This is My Mother berkeleying Vacation.
I've never seen worse than Washington DC. NYC for all the hype is at least 40% taxis and they're trying to get somewhere. DC drivers are somehow incredibly territorial and aggressive while being simultaneously jaw-droppingly slow, distracted and aimless. My vote for best on the planet? Spain. I drove 2400km in a week there and and was stuck behind someone in the left lane for exactly 30 seconds, once. If you wait for the green light you're really, really late. The typical mom on a scooter has a -1.5 second reaction time, every time.
