My recently-acquired Rolleiflex has an 80-year-old first-surface mirror that needs to be resilvered. I just spoke with a local business that does glassless mirrors that mimic the properties of a first-surface mirror, but their products are too thick for my application. The owner agreed to provide me with some sheets of mylar so I could experiment with applying it to the original glass. He suggested an adhesive similar to what might be used for window tint. From what I can find, most tint is self-adhesive, so my question is: what sort of spray adhesive would mimic the type used in tint so that I can get a flat surface on the mirror? I'm told the mylar will take a squeegee, so I can use that to press out any excess.

No claim of expertise on the subject. Just googling "mylar fim glass" does give some interesting hits, like the product below. Is it easy to work with? Does it look good? I've no idea.

That's some pretty interesting stuff. I shudder to think what it costs, though. If nothing else the instructions give me some guidance on how to proceed. Thanks.
