I'm about to scrap a pile of these things, but I'd like to know what they are before I do, in case they would serve better intact.

What are they made out of? My gut reaction says "crucible" but I'm not confident.

Definitely not crucibles then. Idk. The flats speak to some sort of alignment or fitment, but that's all I got.

No clue, but I believe everything is a bond if you try hard enough (or so I've been informed).

Slugs to be turned into some sort of thing.  Either machined or forged/pressed to make a finished product.

Those are "long weights". I have to run right now but I will come back and tell you more about them later.
